Into the Dark

You step into the darkness. It's not like the rest of the cave in here. This deep, there are no cracks or sinkholes to let scant sunlight in. It is pitch black.

You light your lantern. It's not a big flame, but in this darkness it makes all the difference. You are now faced with another tunnel sloping gently downward. There is a gentle, warm breeze wafting up from below. You see footprints in the dust. Hopefully whatever lives down here doesn't like light...
